Exploring your authentic self through value based work.
About Me
I hold many roles. I’m a daughter, sister, wife, friend, mother…but most importantly I am human. I’ve had my own challenges with mental health and am constantly working to show up for myself and my people.
In my free time I love to be with my family, explore the outdoors, cook and bake, and make anything an adventure!
My Philosophy
I believe the work between a therapist and client is truly transformational. Clients seek support when they are struggling with challenges, experiencing emotional distress, feel conflicted by shifts in identity and roles, and undergoing change.
I feel privileged in my work as a Counsellor as it allows me to connect with people in their darkest moments to find hope and empowerment.
Ensuring safety and trust in the therapeutic space is my primary objective. Through the use of a collaborative and holistic approach, I engage a trauma informed lens to support my clients moving through their presenting distress, challenges, and concerns to create resilience, self-awareness and growth in a meaningful way.
Going to therapy is not easy. I will always recognize the vulnerability that it takes to speak with another about challenges and hardships. In doing so, the counselling dynamic is a relationship free from judgement where clients will gain insight, perspective and recognize their own inherent capacity.
During our work together, I will continuously check in with you on how the process is going. I am cognizant that time is valuable and I want to ensure my client is getting the most out of our work together. Throughout the often vulnerable process, I am there every step of the way as we lay a foundation for meaningful change.
My Approach
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.”
– Van der Kolk
